Haryana Tourism the hub of ECO Tourism and GOLF Tourism



Haryana - A landlocked state lies in the north-west of India bounded by Uttar Pradesh, Punjab,
Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan. The state of Haryana was formed in the year 1966 out of the
Greater Punjab. It has a great history dates back to the Vedic Age which reflects its cultural and
traditional past and gave it a name Haryana which means “Abode of God” derived from Sanskrit
words Hari(the Hindu God Vishnu) and ayana (the home). It is believed that the epic battle of
Kurukshetra described in Mahabharata has been fought here in Haryana. Haryana is renowned
for its ‘Golf Tourism’ with lush green fields and provides an excellent chance to play Golf.


Adorned with great culture and studded with old-century monuments, temples, gardens,
complexes and many more, attracts numerous tourists from and around Haryana. It also
highlights Adventure Tourism, Eco Tourism, Wild Life Tourism and Pilgrim Tourism. It is a

Haryana is also renowned for its handicrafts, Folk music, dance, pottery and different kinds
of embroideries, weaving. To showcase and promote all these handlooms, lively culture
of Haryana and Handicrafts the Haryana Tourism organizes a Grand Surajkund Crafts Mela
annually in the month of February which is one of the biggest highlight or eye catching event
of Haryana. Last but not the least Haryana is also very famous for its Dhabas, not only the
food their is amazing but the environment and the scenic beauty around the Dhabas are also
amazingly awesome. Some of the dhabas are Murthal Dhaba, Sukhdev Dhaba, Ahuja Dhaba and
so on.
